Facebook Scam: Dad Gets Embarrassed, Enters Daughter’s Room

Facebook is currently the largest of the social networks with masses of users although we are expecting Google to start competing with the launch of their new Google+. One thing that Facebook has seen a lot of especially in recent times is the number of scams that are seen appearing on the site and now we have another to tell you about. It’s titled “Dad gets embarrassed, Enters Daughter’s Room” and you can see what it looks like below.

It has a message attached to it saying “Girl was on webcam with her BF, doing Stuff!” this is all part of the scam, trying to lure you in to click on it. When you click on it you are directed to another page that looks a bit like a YouTube video with a big speech bubble on it, this is the final bit of user input that the scammers require.

Once you have clicked on the above button you will have just posted what you are trying to look at on your Facebook wall giving the impression that it’s ok to look at to your friends and aiding the spreading of this little nasty. It will then direct you to another page asking you to complete the survey.

It’s really important that you don’t complete these scams as informed by Facecrooks.com as they are only in it to try and steal your details. If you have been unfortunate enough to have fallen for this one then you will firstly need to clean up your news feed. Navigate to the post on your Facebook wall and then hit the “X” in the upper right hand corner of it and then select “Mark as Spam” from the drop down menu. We have also added a guide on what to do if you are caught out by a situation like this that you can read by clicking here.

Is this a scam that you have seen regularly? If you have seen it on your friends Facebook wall then share this article with them and help them understand how it got there and how to get rid of it.
