Spinning Motorbikes Race Crash YouTube Video Goes Viral

Here at OSM we regularly bring you news about viral videos, with recent examples being Epic Rap Battles of History 10, a breakdancing gorilla and the Allan McNish crash video from the 24 Hour Le Mans. This time we have another YouTube viral video for you, this time of a motorbike crash, which left two motorbikes spinning round in a rather bizarre way.

The incident happened at a round of the promosport Championship, a motorbike race at Magny-Cours in France and involved two of the riders. One had slid off nearing a corner and then a following collision saw him take out a teammate, according to Sky News. Both riders were quick to their feet and unhurt but the bikes went on to tangle together. You can see the video below this story. Incredibly in just a few days the amount of viewings on YouTube is nearing 3.8 million.

Apparently the handlebars of the motorbikes became locked together, which then sent both bikes into a spiral, spinning round and round for nearly 40 seconds as the riders attempted to get hold of them to separate them. If the riders had managed to get back on sooner they could have rejoined the race but sadly the twirling motorbikes had other ideas and by the time they came apart it was too late.

It is almost comical watching the dancing motorbikes and the frustration of the riders involved, though of course we doubt that they themselves were laughing. Take a look at the video and let us have your thoughts by sending us your comments.
