iPhone 4S Or 5 Release Date: Whispers Say September

The rumor mill has not slowed down for the next Apple mobile device which is expected to be either the iPhone 4S or the iPhone 5, release dates have been all over the place but new whispers say September. Of course this could be wrong as Apple is so secretive about their device release dates and what they look like.

We have also heard that the device will be sporting a different design and that the next iPhone may not have LTE or NFC which are two currently sought after features. We have also heard that the next generation smartphone from Apple will have the A5 processor which will give it a majorly more powerful chip as well as the expected camera update.

We heard through Bloomberg that we are to expect the new faster iPhone in September 2011 and their source is “two people familiar with the product,” in our experience Bloomberg don’t generally get things wrong and although this cannot be taken as official there’s a pretty good chance that they are correct.

It will be slightly unusual for Apple as they generally stick to a pretty strict trend of release dates with their prices normally being pretty similar. The trend was broken slightly when they did eventually release the CDMA Verizon iPhone back in February. Prior to that they introduced the very first Apple iPhone on January 9th 2007 and then released it on January 29th 2007, the second generation iPhone was the 3G and it was also introduced on January 9th 2008 then released on July 11th 2008.

The next Apple iPhone to grace us with its presence was the iPhone 3GS (3rd Generation) and was introduced on June 8th 2009 then released on June 19th 2009. The current model is the Apple iPhone 4 and it was announced on June 7th 2010 and then released on June 24th 2010. You see September shouldn’t really fit with any of these dates… Although we have heard this previously.

Bloomberg has even gone as far as saying that Apple is trying to finish a cheaper version of the Apple iPhone where they are attempting to attract the interest of customers in developing countries. They even mention that there’s work on a physically smaller iPhone which would be desirable to many people. As things stand these are currently all rumors.

Do you think we will see the iPhone 5 in September? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

Well considering that today is the first day of October, I believe the release date will be sometime in October not September. What do you think?
