Budget Tablet PC From Archos: Arnova 7 Price Is $99

The world of the tablet PC has changed a lot over the last couple of years when Apple introduced the original iPad. The device found success prompting many other manufacturers to try out the market themselves. We have seen all sorts of prices and now we have a budget tablet PC from Archos, it’s the Arnova 7 and the price is just $99!

We learned that these low priced devices were going to be coming from Archos back at the end of February and now Engadget’s Amar Toor has added a report about the device. Toor mentions some of the specs that you can expect to see from the little Android tablet PC.

Some specs aren’t showing yet such as the amount of RAM and its processing capacity but what we can tell you is that it has WiFi, it runs on Android Froyo, 4GB of Flash storage and 7-inch resistive touchscreen LCD at a resolution of 800×480. On a side note it also supports 720p HD playback.

High end tablet PCs generally have front and rear facing cameras, this device doesn’t but it does have access to AppsLib rather than the Android Market. You can read more about it over on the official Arnova site where they tell us about the dimensions of the tablet.
