Apple iPad 3 & iPhone 5: Samsung Rejected Viewing

Many of you will have been following the Apple vs. Samsung court battle that’s going on at the moment. If you haven’t then here’s a quick bit of background… Apple has taken Samsung to court over a patent infringement, and then they managed to force Samsung to show their unreleased products that they have in the pipeline to the courts.

Since then Samsung made a request for Apple to hand over their own up and coming un-released products such as the Apple iPad 3 and the iPhone 5 however Samsung were today rejected that viewing as informed by Engadget’s Brian Heater where he has pulled in a particular part of the court notes which you can see below.

Apple managed to get a look at products such as the Samsung Galaxy S II, the Infuse 4G, Droid Charge and their two new tablet PCs. Samsung haven’t been granted the same viewings of the Apple products because of the details mentioned in the image above.

Heater mentions that Samsung’s request came based partly on Internet reports that say the iPhone 5 and iPad 3 will be released in this calendar year with the courts acknowledging that Apple make yearly releases of their cellular line. They also noted that the iPad 3 release in 2011 is unlikely due to the March release of the iPad 2. You can read the full Samsung Denial from Scribd.com.
