LG Optimus 3D UK Early Release & Price at Carphone Warehouse

If you’re in the U.K. and waiting for the release of the LG Optimus 3D we have some good news for you. We recently gave you UK release dates of July 11, 12 or 13 depending on your retailer but today we have news that the LG Optimus 3D will have a UK early release at the Carphone Warehouse and we also have the price.

The world’s first 3D smartphone is a hotly anticipated device and it will also be coming to the U.S. as the Thrill 4G on AT&T and we’ve given you details of the launch in Europe. We’ll give you a recap on some specs and features to get your mouths watering. The Optimus 3D has a large 4.3-inch 3D (no need for glasses) LCD screen with a 1GHz dual-core processor, dual 5-megapixel rear cameras and a 1.3-megapixel front-facer an of course that 3D capability. The only thing that slightly disappoints is the operating system as it will be released running Android 2.2 Froyo rather than the later Gingerbread OS but you will be able to upgrade later of course.

News of the UK release at Carphone Warehouse on July 7 comes to us from Paul Lamkin over on Pocket-Lint. Pre-orders are now open at Carphone Warehouse and you’ll be able to get this promising smartphone free on a contract that costs £35 monthly. It’s also noted that Phones4U previously said that it will also be supplying the Optimus 3D with a white option too, which will surely appeal to some.
