Apple Shows New Time Capsule: Storage Upped to 3TB

At OSM we have added many reports previously on different types of backup and storage devices that we see on our travels. Today we have another one to talk to you about, Apple has shown the new Time Capsule and the storage has been upped to 3TB.

We first heard about the device through an article over on Engadget by Tim Stevens where he mentions that it’s been a while since Apple unveiled a new Tim Capsule, in fact it’s almost two years since we saw a new version. There are a few slight differences with this model…

Firstly you can pick it up in a 3TB model OR a 2TB model and secondly the specs have been upgraded on the device. Something that we noticed that it doesn’t have is any integration to iCloud but of course this could be one of the surprises that Apple could bring to the table in the not too distant future.

The device prices are as follows, the 2TB model will set you back $299 and if you would like the 3TB model you need to be prepared to cough up $499! Not cheap then! You can read more about the different connection types and features of the device over on the official Apple site.
