2011 Father’s Day Free eCards Ideas

It’s Father’s Day 2011 and kids and adults alike are showing their appreciation today to Dads everywhere. We’ve already given you a selection of Father’s Day tech gifts but if you’ve left it until the last minute you can at least send a free eCard.

Before we start on the eCards well tell you about a few of our other Father’s Day articles you might want to check out at the links. Another great Father’s Day gift idea for the modern Dad is an app and most of our selection of Father’s Day apps are free too! Of course you could also load up an app on the device you may have brought him, to show how much you care. We’ve also told readers about a Twitter and Dunkin’ Donuts Father’s Day contest and earlier today OSM’s Maddy Rowe told you about the Google Doodle for Father’s Day.

On to the eCards then and we have some great suggestions from you from a selection by Amy-Mae Elliott over on Mashable. There should certainly be something here for everyone and if you hit the links for any particular card you’ll also be able to see more suggestions of eCards from the same companies. First off 123Greetings has a good One In A Million Father’s Day eCard, which says it all really and will suit just about every Dad.

If your Dad has a great sense of humor and is pretty laid back he might enjoy Bull*&%$ from Cerebral Itch for something a little bit different. For the more traditional type of card for a slightly more old-fashioned Dad there’s a lovely one from Hipster Cards, To My Dear Dad. There are some really great eCards over on Someecards for Dads with a good sense of slightly twisted humor. For example one of them reads, “You’re the world’s greatest dad although my frame of reference is limited,” or for one with a very topical sentiment, “Dad, thanks for not being involved in a nationwide cybersex scandal while mom was pregnant with me.”

Finally we can’t resist giving you an eCard video from American Greetings called It’s a Dad’s Life. Full of Dads trying desperately to look hip while rapping it’s funny and may be more like your Dad than he cares to think. There are plenty more great suggestions at the Mashable link above. We hope you’ve managed to find your Dad the eCard for him. Let us know what you’re planning for your Dad this Father’s Day by sending us your comments and Happy Father’s Day to all those Dads out there!
