Galaxy S2 To Worry: Nexus 4G More Than Impressive Specs

A multitude of smartphones are making their way onto retailer shelves in the next few months or that’s what we’ve been led to believe. Firstly there’s the Motorola Droid Bionic and Proton 4G, the US are still waiting for the new Galaxy S2, Apple’s iPhone 5 and so on. But to add to the mix, we can now give you rumored details about a new device on its way, that of the Google Nexus 4G.

First impressions of the details are pretty fantastic with its inclusion of a possible 1.2GHz or as Pocketlint via BGR reported, a massive 1.5GHz dual-core processor which would match that of the new Take Janus handset, and suggestion has it that it will be that of an OMAP or Snapdragon type. Currently if we revert back to the Galaxy S2 for one moment, that itself sports a 1.2GHz which has appealed to a wide audience of consumers, so imagine a handset with a bigger processor, it will blow it out of the water!

Other rumored specs include a massive HD screen with 720p resolution, no physical buttons, the new Android 4.0 Ice-Cream OS, 1GB of RAM, 5MP rear camera with 1MP to the front, a little disappointing you may agree and 4G LTE connectivity with carrier AT&T onboard.

In terms of release date, the new Google Nexus 4G if called this, will possibly launch in time for Thanksgiving on 24th November. With competition hotting up and news of the US Galaxy S2 launch in July/August and the iPhone 5 in September, the next few months should be packed full of goodies!

What are your initial thoughts on the rumored Google Nexus 4G? Can you see it being a hit? Let us know.
