N-Control Avenger Xbox 360 Attachment: Bad Looks But Good Use?

At OSM we love to report on the latest gaming peripherals that may be of use to you all, some of our recent reports include the Gears of War branded Xbox 360 pad, the Batman Batarang pads for PS3 and Xbox and of course the Razer Onza pads.

Now we have something a little bit different to talk to you about, it’s the N-Control Avenger Xbox 360 controller attachment, it has bad looks but does it have good use? The device looks a bit crazy and it’s pretty much a case for your Xbox controller. Check it out below.

At first glance it looks like the ugliest thing you could ever put onto your sleek controllers but it could give you an edge in the gaming world. It has a pulley system on the back and a stand at the bottom and the main idea with it is for example if you are playing a FPS such as Call of Duty, you don’t actually need to move your hand around the controller as you can reload and move in any direction at the same time. That split second could be the difference between a good gamer and a great gamer.

Engadget’s Sean Buckley has written a report on the device and also given us a hands on if the crazy contraption in action. You can also visit the Avenger Controller’s official website if you wish to learn more about it. At $50 a piece it’s priced similarly to a brand new controller so you have ask yourself if you want to try to improve your skills or if you want more people to play. It’s worth it. N-Control also guarantees your money back if you are not satisfied, so if you’re a serious FPS player, this is something you should check out.

I use this and combine them w/ the FPS Freeks, thumb extensions. Both become a natural feeling and motion, and once you have them, it’s really not fun if you have to play w/ a standard controller anymore.
