DXG-018 3D Camera: Low Price & Choice Of Colors

This year has certainly seen the rise of 3D imaging technology, more and more different cameras with the capabilities are popping up here and there but they are normally very expensive! Previous devices that we have seen include the Sony Handycam, the JVC Everio and the Sony Bloggie 3D.

Of course there are many other devices that have similar capabilities including the Nintendo 3DS and it’s even coming to smartphones. Today’s subject is the DXG-018 3D camera that has a surprisingly low price and a choice of different colors to find the one that suits you.

We learned of the device through an article over on Slashgear where Shane McGlaun has said his piece on the camera. This is a point and shoot camera where you have a choice of 5 different colors, they are Pink, Lavender, Yellow, Orange and Green.

This cool camera can focus on things as close as 6-inches, it’s powered by two AAA batteries and a 0.3M CMOS sensor with an auto/ISO 100 sensitivity. The camera saves the images on SD cards of up to 16GB with an image resolution of 1.3MP. The 3D viewer on this camera looks like a paper tube with a couple of lenses and when you print them out and place them in the viewer to see the 3D effects. You can learn more about the device from the official website.

What do you think of the device? We aren’t too sure about their 3D style but then you can’t expect too much for $70 can you? Let us know your thoughts on it in the comments section below.
