HTC Flyer FCC Hints at T-Mobile: Release next month?

Here at OSM we’ve written many articles now about the HTC Flyer an Android tablet, which HTC intended as a viable contender to Apple’s iPad. We have now heard about FCC hints for the HTC Flyer on T-Mobile and that it could be released next month.

Among our recent reports we’ve told about the European release, then the Wi-Fi model release at Best Buy and then most recently told how the EVO View 4G tablet (HTC Flyer name on Sprint) was to be released by Sprint on June 24 according to leaks. Now we hear the FCC has a version on its hands of a GSM-based HTC Flyer, which would be compatible with T-Mobile 3G bands.

The news comes to us from Sean Hollister over on Engadget, sourced from the FCC and sadly there’s still no price or release date available for this T-Mobile variant. However Engadget notes that as the EVO View 4G tablet is due before the end of the month, then it shouldn’t be too long before T-Mobile has it too and informs us of rumors that a release of the Flyer on T-Mobile may be on July 6.

WirelessGoodness also reports on the T-Mobile variant of the HTC Flyer and points out that we could expect the price to be around the same as the Sprint View 4G tablet, which will be $400 on the usual two-year contract, although the T-Mobile version looks to be 3G only.
