Facebook Viral Question: I am cleaning up my Facebook friends

For those of you who are big time Facebook users you probably see most of the scams that we regularly report on. Some of them include the apparent addition of the Dislike button, the email that apparently came from Facebook Security, the world’s funniest condom commercial and of course the Nicki Minaj tape scam doing the rounds.

Now we have something to tell you about that ISN’T a scam, instead it’s a Facebook question that has imply gone viral like the YouTube videos do. When something goes viral it literally means that it has spread quickly and to a large number of people (much like a virus would). It’s a Facebook viral question that says “I am cleaning up my friends… let me know if you would like to stay…”

We had seen this guy kicking around on our own profiles once or twice and thought it looked innocent enough, but with scammers being clever and always trying new innovative ways to get your details we wouldn’t be surprised at people being skeptical about it.

What doesn’t help is when you have answered the question it posts it to all of your Facebook friends once you click on the “Ask Friends” button as informed by facecrooks.com. The question started around two months ago and has around 21 thousand followers and somewhere in the region of 600,000 votes.

Have you seen this viral Facebook question that’s going around? Did you think it was a scam? Let us know in the comments section below.

Seems to me the object is to disconnect / “de-network” anyone who refuses to play this “house game”. If so, how is that not malicious?

you don’t get it. it’s accidentliay gone viral due to a fluke in the way that the phrasing of the question it appears if you choose the answer it with “yes”, mixed with the laziness of the mind to not to read this question correctly.
