Verizon States No Galaxy S2 July: Mix-Up, You Ready To Wait?

Samsung’s Galaxy S2 is certainly causing a huge amount of interest within the phone world. Although it has already released with a number of UK retailers and in countries such as Korea and pre-orders of the handset being taken in Australia, the US is still to see this fantastic bit of kit. In recent months we have covered all sorts of Galaxy S2 news from its specs, price, name changes in America, comparisons, news of speed tests, accessories and the list goes on.

So what can we tell you today. We know that news has filtered through that carrier Sprint will be releasing the Galaxy S2 or should I say “Within” as its named sometime in July, but just yesterday news came in that the big red Verizon would also be offering it at the same time. Not so according to reports this morning.

Initially we thought as well as many other sources, that the smartphone would be released on Verizon next month, but there has been a little confusion on Verizon’s part. According to Phones Review via an article seen over on Engadget yesterday, the phone was due to be released, apparently it’s the Galaxy Tab 10.1 that will be shown in all its glory in July. This news comes from a spokesperson over at Verizon. This would actually tie in with news from our very own Debbie yesterday.

What are your thoughts on the Galaxy S2’s non-appearance in July, although we have to say no official word has come through regarding the release date, so it may end up being next month after all! Will this delay cost Verizon with Sprint getting their first?
