iOS 5.0 Remasters Notifications As Expected: Coming This Fall

We are still buzzing from Apple’s WWDC 2011 keynote where there wasn’t a new iPhone as many people were speculating. Instead Apple stuck to their guns and made it a software only event with so many changes coming to the iOS it’s going to look completely different to the current version.

Now we wanted to talk to you about the iOS 5.0 where they have remastered the notifications as we previously expected and the update will come this fall. Before you used to get a popup which you could specify if you wanted it to come from specific apps. For example if you have the Facebook notification on then whenever you get some kind of action on your Facebook profile then you would receive a little popup to inform you.

Well now times have changed and the much criticized notifications have received the much needed makeover. Steve Jobs gleefully spoke about the new iOS and the new “Notification Centre.” It really has a similar concept to that of the Android OS.

So what happens now as explained over on Engadget by Joseph L.Flatley is when you receive a notification then you can swipe down when your notification appears at the top of the screen to see what it is and then when you swipe across the notification it takes you to the app, smart! You can check out some images over on Engadget on the link above to be sure to see what’s on the way.

What do you think of the new notifications? Let us know if you are now happy with what will be replacing the current notifications in the comments section below.
