Batman Dark Knight Rises YouTube Campaign: Video Clips

A couple of weeks ago we told readers about the new Batman movie viral campaign and Twitter involvement for The Dark Knight Rises. Today we have more news for you on the final movie of Christopher Nolan’s trilogy as not one, not two, but in fact 4 video teaser clips are now available on YouTube.

Where our previous story included a clever decoding using Twitter, this time around the social media marketing campaign makes use of Facebook with viewers of the video clips being steered to a Facebook page, according to Jolie O’Dell over on Mashable. You can see one of the video clips below this story and the others at the Mashable link.

The Dark Knight Rising is scheduled for release in the U.S. on July 20, 2012 so many may be surprised that this viral campaign has kicked off so early. You have to applaud the marketing campaign though and we can’t wait to see how they’re going to use social media in the next round of the campaign. There’s certainly a huge interest already as viewing figures on YouTube show. Two of the clips, which appear to show Gotham in mayhem, have already been viewed over 200,000 times each.

What are your thoughts on the new Batman video teaser clips and also the marketing campaign and its use of social media? Let us know with your comments.

Wait a moment! Arkham Asylum breakout? This is similar to Batman: Arkham City. I hope the story versions are very different because if they the same; both Christopher Nolan’s final batman project and Rocksteady Studios upcoming game project coming this year fall will be busted.
