Sony Welcome Back Program Now Live: Details Enclosed

Sony PlayStation 3 owners something you have all been waiting for since your beloved PSN was hacked and shut down was not only it coming back up but Sony’s “thanks for staying with us” package otherwise known as the “Welcome Back Package.”

We have got details now that says it’s live as promised by Sony and we wanted to share them with you and spread the word so we can start resuming our gaming evenings properly. Let’s face it things weren’t the same with the Store down and bits working and not working here and there.

There’s an update that’s come from the PlayStation blog where Susan Panico the Sr. Director of the PlayStation Network is talking about the DLCs. Panico starts it off well with thanking PS3 owners for their loyalty and patience where they let us all know that its appreciated. There’s a list of questions and answers so we thought we would grab a couple that you guys will find most important.

First of all what’s in the welcome back program? Well, for all of you PS3 owners who signed up before the outage on April 20th you can select two games for the Sony PS3 and also two for the PSP. The PS3 games you can choose from are inFAMOUS, Super Stardust HD, Dead Nation, Wipeout HD + Fury and LittleBigPlanet. PSP games you can choose from are ModNation Racers, Pursuit Force, LittleBigPlanet (PSP) and Killzone Liberation. The below instructions are given along with the choice.

You may have just read that and thought, hold on a second… I can have 4 games? This is correct, because of the outage if you have a PS3 and a PSP then you are entitled to four games in total, Smart! Another important thing that we should tell you is that you have precisely one month from today to go ahead and download your games, on July 3rd the Welcome Back Package will disappear.

*Update: We encountered a few errors when trying to go ahead with the new games, it might be worth waiting a little longer as undoubtedly the whole world is trying to get them!*

What games will you download? Check out Sony’s blog and then let us know if you are satisfied with what Sony is offering in the comments section below.
