Still toying with the idea of purchasing an Apple iPad 2, or is there always something else getting in the way of you buying your ultimate device? We understand that when a product is released, there are a large number of people willing to queue up, even camp out for a night just to be the first in line when the store doors open. But hold on, you may want to listen up, about a Chinese boy who sacrificed more than most to get his device.
According to BGR, one 17-year old Chinese boy was so desperate to buy an iPad 2, that he decided to sell one of his kidneys, yes you heard it right. The teenager who lives in the Anhui province in China actually sold his organ for a price of 22,000 yuan or the equivalent of $3,400. When asked why, he said “I wanted to buy an iPad 2 but could not afford it. A broker contacted me on the Internet and said he could help me sell one kidney for 20,000 yuan.”
Thankfully the boy is still here to tell the tale, but according to BusinessInsider, firstly the hospital was unqualified to carry out the procedure and secondly the boy went ahead without prior content from his parents.
