Galaxy Tab 10.1 Release & Price Official: Best Buy NYC First

We’ve been keeping readers informed with all the latest news on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet and we know that many of you are waiting for this upcoming device. We have official release and price details today for you from Samsung, plus the news that Best Buy NYC will be selling the Tab 10.1 first.

Just a few of our recent articles on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 include a review roundup, how the OS has been updated to Android Honeycomb 3.1, accessory news and U.S. pre-order and price details. We also gave you details of June 8 as the release date with a hands-on look, but from the official news today the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will only see that release date at Best Buy’s NYC Union Square store and will then be available at other retail locations from June 17.

The information came to us from Jonathan S. Geller over on BGR and the Samsung press release states that the Union Square store will have limited quantities of the WiFi Tab 10.1 on June 8 and that you can also order in-store and online on that same day. It seems that this slimline tablet is impressing many and if you want one the price is $499 for the 16GB WiFi edition or the 32GB WiFi edition will set you back $599. There will also be a WiFi version on Sprint available in mid-summer.
