Toshiba WT310/C Tablet PC: Japanese Release First

When it comes to the tablet PC market there have been a number of different manufacturers having a pop at it. It’s entirely understandable as everyone is looking to replicate the success that Apple found in the previously dead market by releasing the first Apple iPad.

Whilst the iPad dominated the sales in the market there were a few other devices that held the torch for everyone else and gave them hope with the main one being the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7” device. Now things have moved on a lot and there are numerous different types of tablet out there with all sorts of crazy designs. Now we are hearing that Toshiba has a model called the WT310/C and it will be released in Japan first of all.

We learned of the device through an article over on Engadget where Donald Melanson has written a report where he says that Toshiba look to be moving away from Windows 7 and concentrating more on Android Honeycomb. He also mentions some of the specs that you can expect to see on the device.

If you head over to the official Toshiba page and translate it to see some of the specs that include a 64GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, it has two cameras on it with the front facing one being a 2 megapixel device and the rear facing camera being 3 megapixels. No word of price and it’s expected to be available next month in Japan and hopefully the US and Europe at some point in the future.
