HTC Sensation 4G Release For Galaxy S2 Rival: June 12 at Walmart

We’ve written many times now about two of the smartphones of the moment, the HTC Sensation 4G and its main rival, the Samsung Galaxy S2. Well if you haven’t already made up your mind between these two handsets, you may do now as we have official news that the HTC Sensation will be released at select branches of Walmart from June 12 and by June 15 at T-Mobile.

We’ve compared the two specs-wise and also given a more detailed comparison about the different screens on these handsets and we know that many of you are waiting for the U.S. release of both. We’ve also given you a review roundup for both the HTC Sensation and the Samsung Galaxy S2 so click the links if you want to see more. The HTC Sensation is a very impressive Android smartphone and as a brief recap we’ll remind you that it features a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch qHD display, 8-megapixel camera and will be shipped running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread with the latest HTC Sense UI.

As far as release goes T-Mobile has confirmed a rather vague date of “by June 15” at T-Mobile retail stores, online at t-mobile.com, or at other select retailers and dealers, or of course there’s that Walmart deal “as early as June 12,” according to Phil Nickinson of Android Central, sourced from T-Mobile. Pricing for the HTC Sensation was also confirmed at $199 on the usual two-year contract with $50 mail-in rebate.
