Apple Will Showcase iOS 5.0 At WWDC: Demonstrated On iPhone 4S?

As always with anything to do with Apple, their devices or the software that resides on their devices there’s a lot of hype in the lead up to the WWDC event. Apple has already made it crystal clear that this event is all about the software but they left out the fact that there are in fact two iPhone models on their way and they have said the iPhone 5 won’t be there, they haven’t mentioned the iPhone 4S.

So we know WWDC is largely going to be based around Apple’s different types of software on different platforms with one of them being the iOS 5.0 being showcased and we are hoping it will be demonstrated on the iPhone 4S, especially after Apple has invited more journalists along for the ride.

Our suspicions were confirmed that it would indeed be iOS 5.0 being shown at the event in an article by Engadget’s Tim Stevens where he says that Apple has confirmed it will be announcing iCloud on June 6th. He also expects one of the other big highlights of the event to be the Mac OS X Lion.

We are in agreement that this is a rather unusual and un-Apple-like approach that they are taking as they have also added this press release to their official website talking about the proceedings. You just know Steve Jobs has something up his sleeves and we are hoping it’s a shiny new device!
