BlackBerry Torch 2: Unreleased Device Captured In Video

The smartphone market is booming with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S II grabbing many of the headlines but there are others that are doing ok too. Of course the Internet is alive with people constantly wanting to know the latest news and updates on the Apple iPhone 5.

Now we have another device to talk to you about and it’s one that we have seen leaked before when Mike Smith of OSM reported about it and a couple of others. That’s right it’s the BlackBerry Torch 2 and now the unreleased device has been caught in a video.

We learned of the device’s new video through an article over on Slashgear where Shane McGlaun is talking about the device. He says that BlackBerry fans that enjoyed the original Torch device but wished it had better specs are in for a treat. This guy isn’t yet on the market yet but already we know some of the impressive specifications but remember these can change at any time.

So far we know it has a 3.2-inch screen similar to its predecessor only it’s at a much higher resolution of 640×480. It also has a 1.2GHz processor, a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and an LED flash that’s capable of recording at 720p. Interestingly it will be running on the new BlackBerry OS 7 and if the predictions made in a previous post become a reality then we will see the new OS in late 2011.
