BlackBerry Apollo Caught On Video: Not A Game Changer

RIM has a few new phones in the pipeline that pop up from time to time, only earlier today we reported that the BlackBerry Torch 2 was caught on camera but we have also seen a couple of others leaked. One of the leaked devices that we saw was the Storm 3 which we are waiting to hear more details of.

Well now we have heard through Engadget’s Brian Heater that another RIM device has been spotted, this time the BlackBerry Apollo has been caught on video with many folks thinking this is not really going to be a game changer for BlackBerry. The device is much like its predecessor with some minor upgrades and RIM is going to have to do a whole lot more than they are if they want to realistically compete with Android and Apple.

So far there’s not been a peep from RIM BlackBerry about the device and yet it’s still made its way into the hands of the guys over at where they have added a hands on video with the device and listed some of the specifications.

They include the device being smaller and thinner than its predecessor which is demonstrated in the video, an 800 MHz Marvell Tavor CPU MG-1 processor and the device is achieving screen resolutions of 480×360. Read more about it on this translated link and watch the video at the bottom of the article.
