Sony PSN Returns To Asia This Weekend: At Last!

The PSN outage has been at the forefront of many gamers minds and it’s not over yet. For weeks now gamers haven’t been able to play all of their favorite games online which many of them enjoy doing. The outage was caused when someone accessed Sony’s network and Sony turned the servers off.

Following the servers being switched off they proceeded to rebuild the infrastructure and try to get things back to normal and Japan were waiting for even further security measures to be put in place which is perhaps a wise move. Now we are hearing that the Sony PSN is returning to Asia this weekend at long last!

We heard the news through an article on Engadget by Amar Toor who says that Sony will restore the gaming network across Asia today which means that gamers will be able to play their favorite games this weekend. He unfortunately informs us that gamers in South Korea and Hong Kong will have to wait a little longer for normality to be resumed.

This news came from Bloomberg’s Mariko Yasu who has added a report that also details some of Sony’s losses due to the outage which of course we have already reported. Sony’s revenue has been hit pretty hard and the PSN isn’t the only reason why, we are also hearing that their new console the PS4 is in development which is surely a pricey task wouldn’t you say?

Are you pleased that the servers are coming back up this weekend? Let us know in the comments section below.
