YouTube Recieves 48 Hours Of New Content Every 60 Seconds

New figures show that YouTube have been very busy indeed. It seems that the consistent rise in new users has prompted a sharp increase in uploads. The site now receives on average, 2 days of footage each minute!

YouTube has increased in video uploads dramatically since a year ago with several factors contributing to this. Mashable has reported that in the last 6 months, there has been a 37% increase in video uploaded per minute in the past six months. Video uploads have doubled since last year with an impressive 100% increase.

YouTube has announced that they get 3 billion viewings each day! You could say that half of the world’s population visits the site and watches 1 video each day. Of course less people visit the site but watch more videos. Again YouTube has had another increase, rising 50% since last year!

YouTube’s wild growth has been caused by many things; corporations upload a lot of content like music videos, and this is mixed well with home made viral videos, all of which attract millions of viewing alone. The site is also the place where people can watch trailers to films and games like MW3 first. How much do you use YouTube, is it more than last year?
