Omnio Keyboard With iPhone Dock: Launched With $100 Price Tag

When it comes to the world of technology and computers there’s a couple of things that you rely on to play games, write emails and do all your social networking and one of them is your keyboard. This input device has changed quite a bit over the last few years and what started out as simply your text input platform is becoming a device in its own right.

Some of the cool ones we have reported on recently include the Logitech keyboards designed for tablet PCs and the SNAK keyboard that has been aimed at Facebook users. Now we have a new one to talk to you about that we learned of through Engadget, it’s the Omnio keyboard with an iPhone dock that’s been launched and it has a price tag of $100.

Normally we wouldn’t slam a product but there are some issues that we can see with this already, the first being it doesn’t actually do anymore than your iPhone would normally, in other words it doesn’t add anything. The fact that it’s aimed at only the iPhone/iPod when Android is soon to become the market leader was probably not the best choice.

On the plus side it does work with your laptop or PC and the device plugged into the keyboard will then synchronize with iTunes. Also when the iPhone is docked there’s an app that you can use to turn your iPhone into the number pad which is pretty cool. If you would like to learn more about the device then head over to their official website on this link and you can also watch a slightly cringe worthy video at the bottom of the article.
