Texans Show Support For Gay Couples In YouTube Viral Video

Normally our YouTube viral video reports consist of making you smile, laugh or be shocked like previous ones such as the Ultimate Dog Tease, Barack Obama’s car getting stuck in Dublin on a ramp and of course the Apple iPad 2 drop test with and without the new smart cover. Today’s is a little different.

We saw a video on YouTube that is aimed at a slightly touchier subject around homosexuality and how it is perceived in different areas by different people. It’s a study that was being carried out to see if people intervened when one person was being out of line commenting and making a single sex couple feel uncomfortable. The video shows Texans having more support for gay couples in this YouTube video that has gone viral.

The setup is that the female couple are actors, the kids that they are with are aware of what’s going on and they have microphones on them. The person fueling the fire is another actor who is posing as someone who serves in a diner who starts asking probing questions loud enough for the innocent onlookers around the couple.

The results were astonishing as people actually intervened much more than over in New York with around half the people in Texas doing their bit. The people that got involved were interviewed after the events and all was revealed with some quite touching scenes. As always you can view the video at the bottom of the article.
