Pantech Vega NO.5: 1.5GHz dual-core Tablet Phone

Here at OSM we like to do all we can to keep our readers up to date with all the latest smartphones currently circulating the market, in the past we have brought you news on a great range of new devices like the Samsung Galaxy S2, LG Genesis and the HTC Sensation.

With many great devices like this already flooding the open market it can be difficult for any other handset to shine through, hoping to rival many of these great handsets Pantech have just announced a new 1.5GHz dual-core tablet phone called the Vega NO.5.

This handset shares an impressive spec list very similar to their Vega Racer which we saw Maddy Rowe report about last week, these specs include 8MP 1080p camera, 16GB of memory, 1GB DDR2 RAM, front facing camera, Qualcomm Brawny dual-core 1.5GHz MSM8660 and HSPA+ connectivity. You can read more on the specs of this handset by following this link over to Engadget.

At the moment there is no official word on pricing or international availability, although the Vega NO.5 is expected to hit shops in Korea later this month. You can check out the video we have embedded below to get a quick hands-on view of this device.

We hope to maybe see this device hit our shores sometime soon, although there is already a great range of smartphone devices already in existence it’s nice to have a bit of variety every now and then. What are your thoughts on this handset?

Would you be tempted to buy it if it became available in a shop near you?

Of course , it definitely allows us to have more choices to select the most suitable phone devices to
purchase and seeing a healthy competitions among the phones manufacturers ,eventually leading
to more pricing reductions and benefiting the consumers by and large !
