NZXT Avatar S Gaming Mouse: Razer Rival With A Better Price

At OSM we have added a few reports on different types of mouse including the HP WiFi mouse, the StarCraft 2 Spectre gaming mouse, the Razer Naga Epic and of course the limited edition DeathAdder with the Dragon Age II theme. These are just a few of the rodents that have crossed paths with OSM and we are sure there will be many more much like this next one.

Today we wanted to talk to you about the NZXT Avatar S gaming mouse, this is certainly a Razer rival partly because it has a much better price than their mice. We first saw it over on Engadget where Brian Heater has added an article talking about the device and listing some of the specifications so let’s have a good look at them.

First off the Avatar S has three sensitivity settings; 400DPI, 800DPI and the highest at 1,600DPI which is more than enough for a gaming mouse. As correctly pointed out by Heater this doesn’t quite match the already discontinued Avatar that was around originally which was up to 2,600DPI.

It’s worth noting that the device has 5 key programmable buttons and a customizable LED scheme that also has the simplicity of on and off. This is an ambidextrous mouse which is fairly unusual for gaming gear such as the mouse and you also have a choice of either black or white for your new gaming peripheral. This little beast is priced at $40 which isn’t much for what you are getting in my opinion, you can check out more details of it from the official NZXT website on this link.
