HTC ChaCha Early Release: No June 26, Pre-Order Now

During the middle of February, we gave you news that a new mobile phone would be joining the large number on the current market, that of the HTC ChaCha. Before we refresh you on its specs, we wanted to tell you that the handset can now be pre-ordered with an even earlier release date than previously reported.

Initially in terms of a release date, customers were looking at a date of 26th June with pre-orders being taken at AmazonUK. The good news today is yet another retailer, that of Carphone Warehouse is also taking pre-orders with as Pocketlint reported, a delivery date from the start of June, that’s just a matter of days.

If we take a moment to look at the price, we can tell you that the 2.6-incher can be purchased for free on a contract starting off at just £20 per month on Orange. On the other hand, if you prefer to pay a one off price, then the ChaCha will set you back £249.99 on AmazonUK, although bear in mind, that other retailers will no doubt be offering their own deals.

For this you can expect to get a phone running on Android’s 2.3 Gingerbread OS, QWERTY keyboard, 600Mhz Qualcomm processor, 512MB of RAM, 5MP rear camera and of course not forgetting, that dedicated Facebook button at the bottom of the handset. This will give you direct accessibility to your favorite site with the click of a button.

Let us know if you are tempted by the new HTC, is the Facebook button enough to persuade you into buying a phone?
