Dual-Core Roundup: Galaxy S2 Plus More

Over the past 2 or so months, we have been updating you on a regular basis as to what new smartphones have or are about to land on retailer shelves. One of the main features that we keep on hearing about is that of a dual-core processor. Recently many of our readers have been drawn towards the new Samsung Galaxy S2 which includes such a processor. We have looked at comparisons, given you news of retailers, rumored release dates, accessories and so on, but its about time that we gave you some names of others, so as to give you a wider range. We will give you a brief rundown of other dual-core handsets including a short synopsis and link for each.

Starting off with HTC and its Holiday, EVO 3D and Sensation. Firstly in terms of that all important processor, we can tell you that all 3 will include a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, in terms of display the Holiday outshines the EVO 3D with its 4.5-inch compared to the other 2 with their 4.3-inches, and on the subject of rear camera, the Holiday and Sensation come with a rear 8MP compared to the EVO’s 5MP, but wait it has 2 5MP cameras allowing you to record videos in either 2D or 3D.

Next moving onto LG’s G2X and Optimus Big. Starting off with that all important dual-core processor, both will include a 1GHz, 4.3-inch touchscreen, yet another impressive 8MP rear camera for the G2X and a smaller 5MP for the Big.

Following on from this is a fairly new rival, that of the Pantech Vega Racer. This at the present time will not be available to everybody, currently it will be releasing in Korea but it only seemed fair to give it a mention. Out of all the handsets, this little baby will be bringing with it a 2GHz dual-core processor, with 4.3-inch display, 8MP front facing camera and 1.3MP to the back and so on.

Last but certainly not least is Motorola’s Droid Bionic. If it does finally surface as its already been delayed, it will bring with it several new enhancements, which is hoped to bring a greater phone experience to its users. Currently as it stands, the features include a 1GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch qHD display, 8MP rear camera but slightly disappointing front camera. It has been reported that new features could well include a change in processor, bigger front camera and so on.

As you can see, there are many similarities between all of these handsets, which ones your favorite and why?
