Sony Remaster PSP Titles For PlayStation 3: Continuous Gaming

Sony is looking to keep users on side following their recent PSN outage and keep their reputation in tact by not only offering the welcome back package but also by intertwining the link between PlayStation 3 and the PSP even further. Whilst you were able to purchase PSP games on your PS3 and then play some of them there’s something new that we need to tell you about.

Now we have heard through Engadget that Sony has something called Remaster which will rejuvenate your PSP titles and make them playable on the PlayStation 3. Not only that but you will be able to save game content on one of your devices and continue on another! This sounds pretty impressive whilst we are all eagerly awaiting the NGP don’t you think.

There will be a few select titles that will be picked for the cross platform concatenation by Sony the first one being Monster Hunter Portable 3rd which will be heading to Japan but we don’t know the actual date of its release. You can view a video about it at the bottom of the article.

Over at PCMag.com their author David Murphy says that not only are the titles going to be ported to the PS3 but they are getting a bit of a make-over. Some titles will feature new content and support for DualShock 3 controllers. Perhaps one of the coolest thoughts is that you might be playing on your PS3 against someone else on a PSP online. We don’t know any of the other titles that will be seen but expect there to be news of that at E3 in June. We would also like to know if you have to re-buy the game on the PSN Store if you already have it on the PSP on UMD but we are guessing all will be revealed soon. Read the full press release for it on this link.

What titles would you like to see across both the PlayStation 3 and PSP? Do you think we will have to wait to know more until E3? Let us know in the comments section below.
