Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Near Release: Accessories On Board

Since the start of this year, we have seen many releases of new smartphones and tablets, and at times its been a job to keep up with the pace. For a large majority, the Apple iPad/iPad 2 is no doubt the number one preference, but followed closely behind is that of the Samsung Galaxy Tab. If we cast our minds back, just recently we gave you news that a new Galaxy Tab 10.1 would be on its way, and in a matter of days we have told you of news of a June 8th release, pre-orders being taken and expert reviews.

Although it may be a job to steer many of you away from the new iPad 2, there are plenty of tablet devices that have either just landed or about to. Take the new BlackBerry PlayBook, Motorola’s Xoom, HP TouchPad, HTC Flyer, Acer Iconia Tab and so on, but today its news of the new Sammy tablet and some accessories that have caught our eye.

Seen over on Engadget, accessories spotted on Samsung’s Germany site are ranging from a case with built-in Bluetooth keyboard, docking station, USB adapters and so on. If we give you some indication of prices, the first item is that of the case with Bluetooth keyboard, this will be €150 or converted to ($213), docking station €34.90 and so on.

For those of you that need refreshing on the Galaxy 10.1 specs, we can tell you that it will include a bigger 10.1-inch display to that of the iPad 2, 1GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip, 1080p HD playback, 3MP camera with the benefit of video recording in 720p, 2 MP camera for video calling, 6800mAH battery giving up to 10 hours video playback and so on.
