LG Genesis: Clam-shell Device Aimed At Mid-Range Market

At OSM we don’t like to only concentrate on the top end smartphones, there are a number of other devices that can go on sale unnoticed as they have been overshadowed by the likes of the white iPhone 4, the Samsung Galaxy S II and the rumors of the Apple iPhone 5 (or 4GS as it may be known).

One that we have just read about through an article over on Phandroid.com where Quentyn Kennemer has added an article is the LG Genesis; this is a clam-shell device and is seemingly aimed at the mid-range smartphone market and it’s due to be hitting US Cellular very soon so expect some kind of announcement.

This is a device that has two screens, one on the outer part of the case and one on the inside, the outer display is a 3.5-inch touchscreen. Then on the inside you have a 3.2-inch with a full QWERTY keyboard. On the inside of the smartphone there’s a snapdragon processor that runs at 1GHz, the OS is Android 2.2 Froyo, 430MB of internal storage and an 8GB expandable microSD card slot.

If this looks like a device that you are interested in purchasing but want to find out a bit more information about it then you can by heading over to LG’s official website on this link. They have a gallery of images, explanations of features and the specifications of this unique device. No word of price yet but as soon as we have details of it we will let you know.

What do you think of this for a mid-range device? Would you buy it? Let us know in the comments section below.
