HTC EVO 3D Price Leaked: Your Thoughts?

Whilst much of the news in the world of smartphones is currently being dominated by the Samsung Galaxy S II, the white iPhone 4, the HTC Sensation and of course the new one from Sony the Aquos. HTC continue to go about their business by offering another type of cell phone that we haven’t yet seen for a pretty decent price should the rumors be true.

We have just read over at Phonedog through an article by their author Alex Wagner that the price of the HTC EVO 3D has been leaked and we want to know your thoughts on it. We previously reported on how RadioShack were allowing pre-orders and now we can tell you that the device will be priced at $499.99 if you don’t want a contract or $199.99 if you will sign up for a 2-year call plan.

It gets better as we also learned through goodandevo.net that if you already have a member of the EVO family such as the EVO 4G or the EVO Shift 4G and would be willing to part company with it for the new model then you can trade it in and get another $100 off. This is said to be a RadioShack exclusive deal where they will also give you a free download of the Black Eyed Peas song “Phenomenon.”

To mention a few of the specs so that you know what to expect, it has a 4.3-inch capacitive touch screen at a resolution of 540×960, a dual-core snapdragon processor at 1.2GHz, the Android 2.3 OS and a nice 5 megapixel camera on the back that’s capable of recording in 1080p HD and also 3D. You can read about the rest of the specifications from Phonearena.com on this link.

What do you think of the price of the HTC EVO 3D? Will you be getting one from RadioShack? Let us know in the comments section below.

I am truly excited for this phone, and am actually very happy with it's "well within reach" of a price tag. I am currently a rooted HTC EVO user (one of the few who still run stock sense rom, even though i have tried basically all the custom roms, i think HTC got it right with there sense) And i have been patiently awaiting the release of this phone for pre-order along with a price tag on it. I was truly discouraged when i went into radioshack two days ago to find out that even though i Could Pre-order the phone, that would involve me buying a $50 gift card, for a phone i have no idea the price of.. and considering that my contract isn't up for over another year, that's just out of the question. But now that i know that i can grab one of these bad boys for $500 (minus $100) with the trade in of my beloved EVO, i think $400 is a pretty decent deal all things considered. I actually paid $300 for my EVO almost 8 months after it's inital release, So $400 for a dual core processor with 3D screen and 1080p recording to catch my 8 month old daughter's first steps and first words in crystal clear clarity seems like a steal to me.. Thanks HTC for your absolute and impeccible positive influence on my daily life, and the ability to catch all the memories of my new daughter and easily share them with my social networking world =)
