Samsung Galaxy S2: At No Cost With Pirate Box Set

We are all pretty familiar with Samsung’s Galaxy S2 by now, and as a direct competitor to the iPhone market the S2 has the features to back up its quest for the top selling Android device.

Up until now the Galaxy has come at a price for those wishing to take a slice of the 4.3-inch super AMOLED display. But as Phones Review reported, Vodafone has started to offer the smartphone for free on certain contracts. This will come as good news for those in the market for a high-end device.

Spec-wise the Samsung doesn’t disappoint with its 8MP camera out back and 1.3MP up front, making the most of the large display. Processing power comes from a dual-core 1.2GHz unit, with Android 2.3 OS supporting full HD playback.

Even though it packs some substantial inches in the screen size, the S2 comes out at just 8.49mm thick, tipping the scales at a svelte 116 grams.

Having had a quick glance at Vodafone’s pricing plan, one of the best deals seems to be the £40 per month option that gives you 900 mins with unlimited texts and 750MB of data, along with the free handset on a 24 month contract. Another bonus through Vodafone is the inclusion of a free Pirates of the Caribbean box set when ordered before June 30th.

With the offer of a free Galaxy S2 will you now be signing on the dotted line?
