Amazing 3D Space Invaders Game With Chelsea FC

With the curtain on the Barclay’s Premier League season closing again for the summer, some members of the Chelsea FC squad have taken some time out to play around in the high tech gaming market, but with a sporting trend.

Vintage video game space invaders has made a revival, except onto a 90 foot glasses free 3D screen. Electric Pig has reported that the small group of players took part in the session that was arranged by one of their sponsors 188Bet. Nicholas Anelka, David Luiz, Branislav Ivanovic and Paulo Ferreira were the teams representatives for the challenge. The players simply had to kick balls at the huge screen to kill the aliens and score points.

With one striker and three defenders taking part, who do you think gets the highest score considering it is a shooting challenge? I am not going to spoil it so take a look at the video that we have embedded below for you. You may notice that the giant glasses free 3D screen looks amazing, so it goes to show that it can work if done properly. I am sure it cost about the same as one weeks worth of the players wages. The video has racked up around 56,000 views on YouTube. Its always nice to see the lighter side of football, and as a huge Chelsea fan myself, I wish that the players had been this enthusiastic on the pitch. Then again there is a difference to playing space invaders and running around for 90 minutes chasing a white round thing. Leave us your thoughts on this bizarre but entertaining video in the comments.
