WP7 Angry Birds Delayed By At Least A Month

A delay to anything is bad enough… but when it is to the biggest ever smartphone game to your mobile then you have reason to angry. It is Rovio’s Angry Birds which has been the victim of a delay on Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 OS.

The birds were planned to land on WP7 on the 25th May; however Microsoft has broken the bad news that we will not be seeing it till around June 29th now. There has been no reason given by Microsoft about the delay, although is is expected that this is due to development delays, according to The Next Web.

Gadgets And Gizmos on the other hand believe that this is a market ploy by Microsoft to build up tension. Other high profile games such as Doodle Jump and Sonic the Hedgehog are also set to be rolled out towards the end of this month, so it would make little sense to release all of the games at once.

So with another month to go before WP7 users can catapult birds into a variety of objects, will it cause an upset amongst users? Is it time these companies cleaned up their acts and done a better job preventing repeated delays to releases, apps and updates? Leave us your thoughts on this in the comments.
