Samsung Galaxy S2: Accessorize In Sound And Upped Battery

News surrounding the new Samsung Galaxy S2 has been rife on the internet, with many of our readers showing a huge interest in the handset. With some impressive specs including the dual-core 1.2GHz processor and big 8 megapixel camera, it will no doubt be a handset to be reckoned with.

Although an official release date is still to be announced for the US market, we have been hearing snippets of information surrounding dates for the UK and Australian consumers. Just the other day we gave you news that AmazonUK were taking pre-orders of the device with a shipping date of the 21st May, that’s tomorrow guys, and today Debbie here at OSM, has spoken about how you can pre-order the handset in Australia through Optus with a release date of June 1st. Today thanks to Phones Review, we can now see some accessories to add to your purchase.

Two items to give you information on, are that of a Sound Station and a Vehicle Dock each giving that added benefit to the phone with varying price tags.

If we look at the Sound Station, which we have to add is the real deal and not a fake, will allow you to place your handset into the desk stand incorporating speakers, for a price of £39.95 from Mobilefun.co.uk without the hassle of tangled wires.

On the other hand, if the Vehicle Dock is the accessory for you, then for £34.95, again from the above online retailer, you can add on a USB charging port for in-car battery top up, whilst utilising your devices navigational features.

Let us know if one of these would interest you. Check out some of our other Galaxy S2 posts, we have compared it to others such as the Droid Bionic and HTC Sensation, spoken about upped speeds, name changes to it across all 4 American carriers, how over 3 million pre-orders had already been taken for the Galaxy S2 and that was on the 9th May, so no doubt that number has already risen.

Are you waiting for the new Samsung, have you already pre-ordered and if so from where? We would be interested in your comments.

Does Samsung management have a clue? Did they spend months racing to get a product out the door only to delay it's U.S. release for a good reason? I heard they are trying to get some deal going so that all carriers will start selling the phone at the same time. If they hope to take on the Jesus phone wouldn't it make sense to get their phone in the stores asap? Get a toe hold prior to a possible iPhone 5 / iPhone 4S September release? The iPhone has a four year lead, why give them a fifth? Tech has a short shelf life and Samsung is cutting it even shorter by delaying the Galaxy S2's release date. Get with it Samsung. Are you going to wait to launch til the iPhone release cycle crests? Pick which ever side you want to imagine yourself on, but did Eisenhower wait til the Panzer tanks were at Normandy, Omaha or Sword Beaches? Was Hitler right in keeping his heavy metal in reserve? It's easier to sell phones when they are in the stores. Your super cool gadget won't look as bright when an even newer iPhone is sitting next to it. Mr. Shin please learn from peoples successes and mistakes, we want your phone now.

This isn't just about the US. They are releasing all over the world. Would you prefer they stockpile units until they can release simultaneously everywhere? Someone has to come later and this time around it's the US.

I got mine two days ago in the UK and it is awesome. I tragically dropped it last night from about 3 feet, and there are no scratches or cracks. The screen is amazing, and battery life is about twice as long as the Desire HD. I just wish the MHL adapters were available now. Also, the Mac version of Kies doesn't work with this phone, but Kies air does.

I saw this ad/article and jumped on it. Even though I ordered one online, im getting a second one off Optus! I sold my iPhone 4, and moved onto android (HTC Desire) whilst waiting for the iPhone 5. WOW is all I can say!! I just cant believe how much better the Android experience is than iOS (for me at least). Im a little bit into my computers and tech etc so for me its a no brainer. My mum on the other hand is all iPhone cause its so easy to use.____Moving away from my old (first) phone operating system, iOS vs
