Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 US Pre-Orders: Plus Price Details

We recently brought you some news of a release date of June 8 and hands-on experience with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and now we have news for you on pre-orders and also price details. We’re previously given you pre-order information for Australia but this time we have news for the U.S and there’s not too long to wait so you may want to get those orders in now.

Other recent articles we’ve posted on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 include a video look, a story about the device being rooted even before its release and how the tablet was part of a giveaway at the Google I/O conference. As a brief recap on specs we can tell you the Galaxy Tab 10.1 has, as you might expect, a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800. It also has a 1GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip, full 1080p HD playback, 3-megapixel camera with 720p video capture and a 2-megapixel camera for video chat.

It runs on the tablet-orientated operating system, Android 3.0 Honeycomb and it’s also an extremely slim tablet, coming in a 16GB version as well as a 32GB model. J&R is now taking pre-orders at a price of $499 for the 16GB or $599 for the 32GB tablet, although BGR notes that the company doesn’t specify a shipping date. If you want to receive updates on the Galaxy Tab 10.1, you can find the Samsung registration page for it here.
