HP Pre 3 Price of €449 or $640 – Release Date of June 30 Given

We like to keep our readers informed about the latest new smartphones available and back in April we gave you some details on the HP Pre 3 on Verizon with rumored news of a release date in the summer. Although a release date had still not confirmed as we wrote this we do have news of the price making an appearance. Update – We also have news of a release date in June.

We first gave you some specs details on this phone in February and as a brief recap we’ll remind you that the Pre 3 comes with a whopping 1.4GHz processor, a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, QWERTY keyboard, 5-megapixel camera and also a front-facing shooter, and it all runs on webOS 2.2. Amazon in Germany has now posted a pre-order page for the HP Pre 3 along with pricing.

The price is listed as €449 that’s the equivalent of around $640 according to Vlad Savov over on Engadget, sourced from Amazon.de. However we just checked the Amazon link and it’s now listed as €448 (whoop de doo) and also it now says it will be available from June 30. PreCentral Net also reports on the Pre 3 making an appearance on Amazon in Germany and notes other German retailers saying it should make an appearance in 3-4 weeks but we’d be inclined to go with the release date of June 30 from Amazon.

Although we don’t yet have release details for the U .S. it could be coming soon if Germany is anything to go by. Are you interested in the HP Pre 3 and if so why would you choose this phone from the many other new and upcoming smartphones? We’d be interested to hear from you about this so why not send us your comments.

I will switch back to an ex-Palm phone if the talk quality and call reception are good. Love Blackberry, but I expect the Pre 3 to be a better PDA, if I could use an old-fashioned term.
