Sharp 3D Aquos SH-12C Smartphone: 20th May Release

As we know, technology is forever changing and one of the latest inclusions on new and forthcoming devices is that of 3D. Since the start of CES 2011 which was held in Las Vegas back in January, we have seen an explosion in 3D capable gadgets. As well as the Nintendo 3DS gaming console which recently released, we have smartphones to look forward to from HTC with their Evo 3D and the LG Optimus 3D coming out in the near future.

Another contender is set to release before then and that’s a new Sharp Aquos SH-12C. Ok so the name may be a little long-winded, but judging by the specs listing, it will definitely be a contender. Looking at the features, ITProportal stated the Aquos will have a 4.2-inch qHD glasses-free 3D display, run on Android’s 2.3 Gingerbread OS, an impressive 1.4GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor, two 8MP rear cameras, which will outdo the EVO‘s dual 5MPs, 3D video recording, 512MB of RAM and so on.

The only downside we can possibly see is that the Sharp Aquos bears a slightly smaller screen size compared to HTC’s 4.3-inch. Check out a comparison we made a few weeks ago between the HTC EVO 3D and that of the LG Optimus 3D. Here we have listed more information to wet your appetite.

According to Phones Review, the new Sharp Aquos is due to be released on 20th May in Japan in colors black and white and can be seen on the Japanese network DoCoMo. Presently we cannot give you an official price although when we do, you will be the first to know.
