Good news has surfaced for Samsung fans, the much awaited Droid Charge running on Verizon’s fast 4G network, will be available from tomorrow May 14th. Over the last 2 or so months, we have brought you news of the Charge’s specs, compared it to the Droid Bionic, Atrix 4G and HTC Thunderbolt. Along with this we had news on a price that had been spotted, its multimedia desktop dock, a review roundup including Verizon’s 4G speeds and so on.

For anyone tempted, BGR has reported you can head on over to Verizon’s store, be it online or in-store. In terms of price, the handset may be considered a little steep at $299.99 on a 2-year contract, but its the impressive specs listing that comes to the forefront.

As we said the Droid Charge will be running on Verizon’s 4G network, mobile hotspot will be a key feature, enabling up to 10 WiFi devices to share or 3G connection with up to 5 devices, the handset will run on Android 2.2 Froyo which may be a little disappointing to some as the favourable option is 2.3 Gingerbread, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 1 GHz Hummingbird processor, HTML 5 Web browser, 8MP camera with LED flash matching that of Samsung’s Galaxy S II with 1.3MP front-facing camera.

Other additional benefits to purchasing the Droid Charge will include accessibility to over 200,000 apps from Android’s wide market. To find out more head on over to BGR.
