HP WiFi Mouse: Price & Release Date

At OSM we try and report on the things that we feel may interest you in terms of technology and one of the things that we all use is the mouse. We have reported on various different ones including the StarCraft 2 Spectre, the Razer Naga Epic and an interesting scanner mouse from LG. Now we have a new one to talk to you about that’s a little bit different.

It’s the HP WiFi mouse and it has been given a price and release date. We first learned of the device from a report produced over on Slashgear.com by Shane McGlaun where he talks a little bit about HP and how they are famous for their computers but they also make high quality accessories.

The first thing that you will notice about it is it’s a pretty average looking mouse with up to nine months of battery life, five customizable buttons and a four scrolling wheel on it. Another advantage to this guy is it frees up a USB port on your computer by using a onetime connection system over your PCs WiFi. Unlike many high quality mice we have previously reported on this is also fine for lefties to use.

This will be hitting the market in June and you will be able to pick one up for $49.99, you can also read the full details of how it utilizes their new Link-5 technology from the HP Press Release on this link. You can also check out a video of the mouse at the bottom of the article.

What do you think of the mouse? Would you want one that utilizes WiFi rather than Bluetooth? Let us know in the comments section below.
