HTC Sensation Price Confirmed: iPhone 4 Contender?

Are you in the market for a new smartphone? With competition heating up from other rivals, its a job to know which device to purchase. The specifications, network, price and official release date are all factors into making that important decision.

One such handset that we have reported on over the last few weeks, is that of the HTC Sensation. We brought you news when the phone was first announced at the HTC event in London, we have looked at comparisons with others such as the Samsung Galaxy S II, talked about the battery life being improved, news of pre-ordering your device, a new keyboard with swype style feature and so on. Today the news is of who have announced the Sensation’s price.

According to, the online entertainment retailer has stated that the phone will be priced “Sim Free” at £500 with a release date at the end of June. This will be exclusive to Vodafone who will be launching the handset as stated on the 19th May.

The new HTC offering will cost you £35 per month on a 2-year contract, with 900 minutes, 750MB of data and an unlimited number of texts.

Just to remind you of the HTC Sensation‘s spec list, we can tell you that it will include a 4.3-inch display, running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 768MB of RAM, Sense 3.0, 1.2GHz dual-core processor which in itself is a big inclusion on new handsets coming out, 8GB memory, 2 cameras, the first being 8MP rear matching that of the new Samsung Galaxy S II and 1.2MP to the front, 1080p and so on.
