HTC Puccini Tablet for AT&T: Release June?

We like to keep our readers up-to-date with all the new tablet devices and just recently have informed you about the Fujitsu Stylistic Q550, the Acer Iconia Tab A101 and a new HP convertible tablet, the HP EliteBook 2760p. We have more tablet news today with leaked details of the HTC Puccini, thought to be coming to AT&T with a release in June.

Rumors of the Puccini come to us from leaks supplied to PocketNow where Evan Blass tells more about the 10-inch tablet. Although there are no specific details as yet, speculation has it that it will run on Android 3.0 Honeycomb and that a variant will be compatible with AT&T’s 4G network. It’s also possible that it will have support for the HTC Scribe’s capacitive pen input technology.

The release is apparently scheduled for June although that seems rather soon for a device with so little known about it and there’s no news yet on a price either. As an interesting footnote the rumor mill has it that because of the Puccini name there could be some musical focus for the tablet. Over on Gizmodo Kate Hannaford speculates that in fact we may hear more about the HTC Puccini at today’s Google I/O conference so we’ll just have to wait and see.

What are your thoughts on the HTC Puccini coming to AT&T and the news that it may be 4G compatible? Let us know with your comments.
