iOS Facebook Developer Joe Hewitt Has Left The Building

When Apple made the iPhone it looks like their aim was not only to deliver a quality device but to make it timeless by bringing the App Store into the equation. You can have an older iPhone and still take advantage of some really great apps and of course the other manufacturers have followed suit, most notably Google Android<!–more–>.

Some of the most popular apps on the iOS include Angry Birds and of course with the world moving towards social networking so has the smartphone market. This happened quite some time ago where Facebook was turned into an app but now we have a bit of bad news, the iOS Facebook developer Joe Hewitt has left the building!

We first learned that he was on his way out through iClarified.com’s entry where they are emphasizing the point that they didn’t leave on bad terms and he just wants to work independently. Over on his blog he talks briefly how he has left previous employers cursing the management and wishing he had left earlier but with Facebook it wasn’t the case.

Nice to hear that Facebook treated him well and that there were some nice emails sent to his managers thanking them for having him work there. If you would like to read more about his experiences and what he plans to do next then use this link to his blog to read more from in his own words.

How do you see things going for the Facebook mobile app on the iOS? Will updates come and work as smoothly as they have in the past? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
