Samsung Nexus S 4G on Sprint Release: Best Buy Sale Price

Back in March we told how the Samsung Nexus S 4G was going to be released on Sprint and thought this was a handset that would interest an awful lot of people. We then told how pre-orders were available at Best Buy, and following that, news of the release date of May 8. We want to remind you of the release today and also give you news of the Best Buy sale price.

As a brief recap this Pure Google handset runs on the latest Android operating system, Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It also features a 4-inch Super AMOLED Contour display, 5-megapixel rear camera, front-facing VGA camera and a 1GHz processor. Also of course, there’s that 4G capability and on top of that it’s a pretty sleek-looking device.

Today the release price was $199.99 with the usual two-year contract from Sprint or $549 contract-free. On top of that there’s a Sprint premium data add-on cost of $10 monthly. However, Phil Nickinson over on Android Central informs us that Best Buy actually has this handset on sale now for $149.99 with contract, that’s $50 off, quite a saving. This is a pretty good deal and if you want to find out more about the Samsung Nexus S 4G on Sprint, head to the Samsung product page here.

Are you intending to purchase the Samsung Nexus S 4G, or are you leaning towards another upcoming smartphone such as the Samsung Galaxy S2 or the HTC Sensation? Why not let us know with your comments.

I would love to replace the ROM that comes stock on the phone. That may fix most of its issues.
