Samsung Galaxy S II (S2) Rival iPhone 4: £399 Deal

Since the start of January, many smartphones have been announced and are all trying to place themselves on the number one spot. Along with the popular iPhone 4, there have been others such as the HTC Thunderbolt, Motorola Atrix and so on, and with yet another big contender on the way, will this be enough to cement its place at the top end of handsets? We are talking about the Samsung Galaxy S II (S2), although there is a strong possibility that by September/October time, we could actually see an S3.

In recent weeks we have compared the S2 to others, told of how it can be rooted and possible release dates. Today we can give you some more news about one retailer advertising the phone for an incredible £399, which works out to be cheaper than Apple’s offering and Expansys SIM free model, in fact £100 less. UK networkO2” will be offering the phone at this price but unfortunately it does come with strings attached.

According to ITproportal.com, the downside, “you cannot unlock the handset for at least 90 days,” but as reported the Galaxy S2 can be used with O2, Giff Giff or even Tesco Mobile. O2 will be offering the 5 current Pay As You Go subscription plans, with you the user, paying an extra £7.50 to top up the phone within the first month.

Are you waiting for the new Samsung Galaxy S2 or have you got your eyes peeled on something else such as the iPhone 4 or even 5 when it finally releases? Let us know.

Considering how much more powerful the S2 is than the iPhone 4, you'd have to have an incredibly good reason for wanting an Apple product in particular.
The S2 is going to be an iPhone 5 competitor, not an iPhone 4 competitor….
